Recent painting

In this new exhibition at Galleria Torbandena, Edmondson presents a series of images with strong contemporary connotations: interiors of theatres remained empty, rooms of abandoned houses, and old cars burned, which acquire a sense of mystery and restlessness through the particular use of light and atmospheres. With the series Red Cardinals, Edmondson faces the human figuration of the english tradition, the tradition of Auerbach and Bacon; the result is metaphoric and alarming.
About twenty works will be exhibited, among them some with a large format and a series of oils on paper.
